2026 edition of the "France Exploration" program

The 2026 edition of the "France Exploration" program has been announced.

This funding program, implemented by the Science and Technology Department of the France Embassy in Japan, is intended for researchers from Japanese institutions. Its objective is to allow researchers in Japan wishing to establish a first contact with French research teams in their fields of expertise to initiate new Franco-Japanese collaborations.

The call for projects is open to all scientific fields. Students and doctoral students are not eligible.

The timetable for the call is as follows:

• Deadline for submission of applications: Sunday, January 4th, 2026, 11:59 p.m. (French time)
• Communication of results: February 2026
• Japan Mission Period: April to December 2026
