ELyT Workshop 2026

ELyT workshop 2026 will be held on March 7 (Sat.) & 8 (Sun.), 2026 in Sendai. It will be followed on March 9th by celebration of the 10th year anniversary of ELyTMaX and ELyT Global. Tentative program can be found here and the abtsract book here.

- Lunch: Buffet & Poster Session (at IFS Building 1) *Supported by IFS
- Afternoon: Session 2
- Evening: Workshop Dinner (Buffet style, Venue TBD) *Supported by IFS

<March 8 (Sun.)>
- Morning: Session 3
- Lunch: Buffet (at IFS Building 1) *Supported by IFS
- Afternoon: Excursion
* Note: Participants are responsible for their own excursion expenses.
* Destinations TBD (e.g., Sendai Castle site, Zuihoden, or Sendai City Museum).

Two social events will be organized for the workshop. Participants can choose one of them by registering throuhg this link (note that the two events being held at the same time, only one can be chosen).

Option 1:
Kokeshi Doll Painting Experience
Paint your own original Kokeshi doll, a famous traditional craft of the Tohoku region.
Location: Kokeshi no Shimanuki (10-minute walk (one-way) from Katahira Campus)
Fee: 1,000 JPY (Including materials)
*Please pay on-site via cash or credit card.

Option 2:
Sendai Castle Ruins Walking Tour
Visit the historic site of Lord Date Masamune’s fortress and enjoy a panoramic view of the city.
* In case of heavy rain or snow, the event will be canceled.
Location: Sendai Castle Ruins (30-minute uphill walk (one-way) from Katahira Campus)
Fee: Free (Optional museum entry: 770 JPY)
