ELyT Workshop 2021

Following the success of remote collaborations in this unprecedented situation, ELyT/LyonSE&N workshop was maintained in 2021 as a virtual conference, using Zoom and Gather Town. The objectives of showing common research results and exchanging great ideas and more altogether has successully resisted to the physical distances. Celebrating the reneweal of ELyT Global and ELyTMaX, as well as the obtention of a JSPS Core-to-core project by Tohoku IFS, the conference started with introductory discourses from Anne-Christine Hladky (Scientifique Deputy Director in CNRS), Motoko Kotani (Vice-President for Research in Tohoku University), Marie-Christine Baietto (Vice-President for Research in INSA Lyon), Kaoru Maruta (Director of Institute of Fluid Sciences in tohoku University) and Christophe Corre (Vice-President for Research in ECL). The conference gathered 123 participants (63 from Japan, 55 from France and 5 from bilateral institutions), and consisted in 3 invited talks, 29 oral presentations, 4 virtual lab/center tours or live experiments, 6 posters and 1 panel discussion.

The conference was held on June 21st-25th, 2021. To accomodate the time difference, half-day sessions has been implemented, 15:30-18:00 JST / 8:30-11:00 CEST.
