The next annual ELyT Lab Workshop on March 12 to 14, 2012 in France
The 4th ELyT Lab workshop will be held in France from March 12 to 14, 2012, in Presqu'ile de Giens (south east).
ElyT School in Lyon 2011
The third edition of the ELyT School was held from the 4th to the 14th of September 2011 in Lyon with the visit of 30 students (20 PhD and 10 Master students) accompanied by four professors from Tohoku University.
The 3rd ELyT lab workshop
The 3rd ELyT lab workshop, held in Sendai during 3 days from February 22th to 24th 2011 has been a great success, involving about 100 researchers (among them 35 French attendees) and several industrial partners. This confirms the dynamism of our joint laboratory. Program and some presentations can be downloaded here. The website is regularly updated.

Welcome to ELyT Lab (Engineering and Science Lyon Tohoku Laboratory)
ELyT Lab is a French-Japanese joint research laboratory, involving the following institutions :
- CNRS French National Center for Scientific Research
- ECL Ecole Centrale de Lyon
- INSA de LYON
- TOHOKU University
The research project consists in 5 main fields of study:
- Biosciences & Engineering (B),
- Durability, Reliability in Energy and Transportation (R),
- Nano & Micro Scale Materials & Devices (M),
- Flow Dynamics, Heat Transfers and Microfluidics (F),
- Tribology (T).
Liaisons offices
Campus Tohoku
Both Tohoku and Lyon have opened Liaison Offices. The aim of these offices is to facilitate :
- exchange of information,
- implementation of joint projects,
- staff exchanges,
- students' mobility,
- links with industries.
On the other hand, the various Liaison Offices which belong to the Tohoku University are organized in network, and have also the purpose to enhance cross-collaborations with very different countries. An annual meeting is organized to define the priority of few actions, involving different teams*.
Thus, it is clear that our liaison office will be efficient tools to facilitate human resource exchanges.
